Known for her unique platform of versatility, Patti LaBelle has become synonymous with grace, style, elegance and class. LaBelle brings her unmatchable talent and explosive voice to the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek on March 19 at 7:30 pm. LaBelle has selected Beaver Creek as the only Colorado and even western USA stop on her tour! The closest stop to Beaver Creek besides her VPAC performance will be in Austin, TX.

LaBelle has had many successes throughout her career including two Grammy Awards for her albums Burnin’ and Live! One Night Only. She was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1993 and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2004 for the single “Lady Marmalade.” Most recently, LaBelle was given the Musical Arts Award by BET Honors in 2016 and the Living Legend Award by Black Girls Rock in 2013.

In addition to her many nominations, wins and awards, LaBelle has had many major hits such as “Somebody Loves You Baby (You Know Who It Is),” “Feels Like Another One,” “On My Own (with Michael McDonald),” “New Attitude,” “Love Has Finally Come at Last (with Bobby Womack)” and “If Only You Knew.”

LaBelle also had many chart toppers with her group Patti LaBelle and The BlueBelles such as “Isn’t It a Shame,” “What Can I Do for You,” “Moon Shadow,” “You’ll Never Walk Alone” and “Down the Aisle (The Wedding Song).”

In 2009, LaBelle was honored again with her induction into the Apollo Legends Hall of Fame after having a successful reunion tour with Nona Hendryx and Sarah Dash, former LaBelle band members.

As the motivational and dedicated woman she is, LaBelle didn’t stop at music. She has written cookbooks and the autobiography Don’t Block the Blessings.

LaBelle has played numerous roles in films and she’s also appeared in the award-winning Broadway musical Fela! among other appearances on Broadway. LaBelle also competed on the 20th season of Dancing with the Stars with professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev!

LaBelle is a spokesperson for the American Diabetes Association, an advocate for adoption, foster care, Big Sisters and the United Negro College Fund, among many other initiatives.
